“The Last Rose of Summer” 2024

Lunch concert festival in the House of the Embassy of Ireland, the headquarters of Mendelssohn Bank
Artistic direction: Judith Ingolfsson & Vladimir Stoupel
The festival presents compositions whose genesis and historical performances are linked to the Musikwerkstatt Berlin: Composers and musicians from all over the world who were inspired by this city.
A cooperation event between the Mendelssohn Society and the Embassy of Ireland, sponsored by the Embassy of Iceland, supported by Guy Oppenheim. The festival is part of Zeitgeist Ireland 24, an initiative of Culture Ireland and the Irish Embassy in Germany.
In the 2024 season, tickets can be purchased on site from 15.7. during the opening of the exhibition in the Mendelssohn-Remise; remaining tickets at the box office or online (www.bit.ly/lastrose2024)

"Klassik um Eins" ist das Frühjahrsfestival in der Mendelssohn-Remise. Es findet statt an den zehn ersten Donnerstagen des Jahres (Ausnahme 2020: Start ab dem 9. Januar!), jeweils um 13 Uhr, Dauer ca. 45 Minuten: als Kooperationsveranstaltung der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin mit der Mendelssohn-Gesellschaft. Die Leitung und Moderation des Programms hat Prof. Birgitta Wollenweber, es musizieren Studenten der HfM Hanns Eisler. Der Eintritt ist frei, um großzügige Spenden für die Remise und für das „Klassik um Eins“-Stipendium der HfM Hanns Eisler wird gebeten. Platzreservierungen sind nicht möglich, Einlaßkarten sind am Konzerttag ab 11 Uhr vor Ort zu erhalten.
